Florence Vignols

IPSIM Montpellier

Florence VIGNOLS has a PhD in Plant molecular Biology from the Pierre & Marie Curie University (Paris, France). She then gets a research fellowship from the EC Human Capital & Mobility program and join the CSIC of Barcelona (Spain) prior being hired as a CNRS researcher. Her research aims, using molecular, genetics, proteomics and biophysical approaches, at identifying and characterizing the functions and specificities of several classes of iron-sulfur center delivery proteins in the chloroplast and mitochondria of plants. Iron-sulfur centers being universal cofactors present in many proteins, performing for most of them essential functions for living organisms.
